It's a baby.......

.......GIRL!  That's right folks, I'm having a little girl.  I'm so excited!  I would be just as excited if it were a boy...but it will be fun having a girl, especially since I already have a boy.  Josh took the ultrasound pictures with him to work, but when I get a chance I'll have Moma scan them and I'll share with you.  (side note...she just kicked me really hard!).  This child is very active.  Both times I went to have the ultrasound done she moved constantly.  It's so cool.  There's one picture the doc printed out that looks like she's waving at the camera.  The other pics are mostly of her face...you'll have to see them.  And use your imagination.  They had to point out everything to me, because it just looks like blur.  Except for her hand.  That was most prominent.

I am going to go to Baby's R Us in a little while.  Caleb is in VBS right now, so I'm just killing time.  We live too far away from the church to go back home for two hours.  I'd basically get there, rest for a couple of minutes, then leave again.  And with gas prices what they are, it's better to just hang out in town and do stuff I wouldn't normally do.  I'm debating whether or not to get my hair cut.  Maybe if I just dye it.  I just feel like I look frumpy or something.

Anyway, while I'm on a computer that doesn't use dial-up I'm going to surf the web and such.

Much love and peace...

Six Months Later...

I can't believe it's been six months since I've updated this thing.  Wow, so much has happened.  If you know me, and I assume you do or else you wouldn't be reading this, then you know I'M PREGNANT!  I am going to have a baby!  I'm almost 16 weeks, and yes I'm going to find out what it is as soon as I can, which is at 20 weeks.  I even have names picked out, but it's a surprise to everyone else. I may say what they are eventually, but I want there to be a little bit of suspense since I've been pretty honest and open about the rest of it.

No, I'm not sick a lot.  Maybe 1-2-3 times a week, but most of the time I'm fine.  Thanks to popsicles and grilled cheese and the occasional Big Mac or Arby's or a salad, I'm eating what is good.  I got the coolest gadget. It's an apple core-er and slicer.  You just put it over the apple, press down, and it slices and cores it automatically.  It works exceptionally well on pears, too.  Mmmmm, red pears.  So delicious.  I get cravings, and most of the time I eat what I crave (or actually what George wants...George is what we call the child...boy or girl, it doesn't matter.  I just don't like saying "it" wants this or "it" needs a nap ;) )...anyway, I get what I crave as long as it's not unreasonably expensive or too far from home.  I tell you what if I were in Denver I'd be eating Chipotle all the time.  I would anyway, but being pregnant...

My sisters are going to be in town this weekend.  Deana is already here, but Ang won't be here til Saturday.  We're going to do something for Daddy's 50th Birthday, we just don't know what yet.  I'm letting them make the plans since their time is limited and I can see Dad whenever I want.  So.  And Saturday evening we have a family function in Beggs at Uncle Bob's house.  BBQ.  It will be nice to see everyone.  Grandma told me she's anxious to see how I've "filled out" !!!  I haven't really gained that much weight, maybe 5 pounds or so.  But I can feel it in my clothes.  My favorite jeans are pretty snug, and when I pull the front of my pants down below my belly, it just flops out and feels so free!  Gross, I know, but it's like a great release.  Deana said I'll probably want to wear dresses so I won't have anything around my waist at all.  I have a few knit dresses that will be perfect for summer time fun.  And my cousin gave me a couple of shirts, and I'll probably get some other stuff to wear.  I'm not going overboard b/c I probably won't do this again....

Well I'm going to go do some dishes.  I hate doing dishes.  That's probably why there are always dishes to do!

I'm Baaa-ack!

I am not sure why, but myspace confuses the heck out of me.  So until I have an hour or two to sit down and figure it out (which may not be until I go to Denver so Deana can help me ;)....

I am looking forward to Christmas and to going to Denver.  Chipotle...mmmmmmmmmmmm

This is the best I've been during the holidays in years.  I'm so thankful for so many things, especially my dr's and therapist...I couldn't do so well without them.  And the great support from my family.

Well I'm going to go because I need to do dishes.  My Christmas wish:  the dishes forever done...and a new can opener.

My bonnie lies over the ocean...

My honey is gone

He had to go to a work "retreat" kind of thing.  He left Tuesday, and tomorrow he'll return.  I didn't realize how much I would miss him...we've been apart before, but I can barely get in touch with him because they keep him occupied with ropes courses and such.  Caleb misses him , too; I can tell because of his behavior.  His teacher agreed to send me a daily behavior report via email so when he gets in trouble (meaning detention, usually) I will know that he is lying to me.  He likes to do that.  I guess it's his age?  I try to tell him how unacceptable lying is....

Oh!  I won 4 tickets to the Tulsa State Fair!  Gyros and corn-on-the-cob here I come!  And salt water taffy.  I remember when we were kids we would stretch out our bubble gum and twist it about like they do the salt water taffy at the fair.  It's not particularly tasty, just a tradition.  Josh will probably get a giant turkey leg ( ).  Caleb will probably get a funnel cake.  I don't really like the fair, but it means a lot to Caleb to go, so we'll go.  Probably on Saturday (am I crazy?!?!?!?!?!).  It depends.  I don't really like being there after dark.  As Moma always used to say, "the snakes come out at night..."  The irony is that I was once a snake.  Ha ha ha ha ha.  When we were young we would get to get out of school early one day to go to the fair, but Caleb prides himself on his perfect attendence the last two years, and doesn't want to blemish his record.

Speaking of Caleb it's time for me to go get him, so I'll see ya 'round like a donut!

Love and Peace
